- This role includes a weekly on-call rotation.
This is a critical leadership role that balances high-level coordination with "in-the-trenches" dispatching. In this environment, "high traffic" translates to a massive volume of email communication and the constant, rapid movement of orders and shipments. This position may be offered as a Direct Hire opportunity for candidates with exceptional experience.
Responsibilities:
Main Point of Contact: Act as the primary liaison between the client, internal management, and the carrier network.
Lead Dispatching: Oversee the daily dispatching desk, ensuring all drivers and carriers are synchronized and schedules are met.
Reporting & Tracking: Take ownership of shipment tracking and operational reporting, ensuring data integrity within SAP and the TMS.
High-Volume Communication: Manage heavy email traffic with speed and precision, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on shipment status.
Operational Oversight: Ensure the continuous movement of orders through the pipeline, resolving bottlenecks as they arise.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Chemical/Bulk Background: Deep knowledge of liquid bulk tanks or chemical logistics.
TMS Expertise: Advanced experience with McLeod or similar Transportation Management Systems.
Decision Making: Proven ability to make high-stakes decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
Logistics Leadership: 4+ years of logistics experience with a strong background in dispatching and carrier management.
Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Communication: Expert-level verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead others while managing high-volume digital correspondence.
Schedule: M-F, 7:00 AM ??? 4:00 PM, with the ability to participate in a one-week on-call rotation.
