Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and triage tasks according to deadlines
- Support the quality and safety standards
- Participate in cost control initiatives as it relates to budget, labor and waste reduction
- Regularly communicate with internal departments (engineering, purchasing, Quality Control and shift leaders) and external teams (customers, vendors, transportation)
- Lead and improve workflow, standard procedures and schedules for team members Coordinate timely loading and unloading of shipments
- Direct the storage and material flow of products
- Resolve issues related to storage, receiving and delivery of materials
- Delegate tasks amongst logistics personnel to support efficient product movements and delivery
- Interview prospective employees for the department
- Train employees on best practices and company procedures including equipment operation, SOPs, safety, etc
- Lead team meetings to debrief company objectives, daily goals, problem-solve hurdles and provide overall structure
- Document performance, attendance or other issues appropriately with Human Resources
Skills:
- Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse setting
- Forklift Operation experience
- Computer proficiency
- Experience mentoring or training your peers
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Education:
- Associate's degree in a related field

- Associate's degree plus demonstrated related experience in a similar position of 2 years minimum.
- Ability to effectively read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to demonstrate good attendance.
- Manual and finger dexterity.
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or overtime as required.
- Must be able to participate in job development training, such as equipment cross-training and team development training.
