Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and triage tasks according to deadlines
• Support the quality and safety standards
• Participate in cost control initiatives as it relates to budget, labor and waste reduction
• Regularly communicate with internal departments (engineering, purchasing, Quality Control and shift leaders) and external teams (customers, vendors, transportation)
• Lead and improve workflow, standard procedures and schedules for team members Coordinate timely loading and unloading of shipments
• Direct the storage and material flow of products
• Resolve issues related to storage, receiving and delivery of materials
• Delegate tasks amongst logistics personnel to support efficient product movements and delivery
• Interview prospective employees for the department
• Train employees on best practices and company procedures including equipment operation, SOPs, safety, etc
• Lead team meetings to debrief company objectives, daily goals, problem-solve hurdles and provide overall structure
• Document performance, attendance or other issues appropriately with Human Resources

Skills:

• Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse setting
• Forklift Operation experience
• Computer proficiency
• Experience mentoring or training your peers
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Education:

• Associate's degree in a related field 

Experience:

• 2 years at a minimum

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree plus demonstrated related experience in a similar position of 2 years minimum.
• Ability to effectively read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to demonstrate good attendance.
• Manual and finger dexterity.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or overtime as required.
• Must be able to participate in job development training, such as equipment cross-training and team development training.
