The Loss Mitigation Specialist is responsible for assessing borrower situations to identify optimal solutions that align with investor guidelines to avoid foreclosure when possible, ensuring compliance throughout the decision-making process. By understanding each borrower's unique circumstances, the Specialist will recommend strategies to help borrowers retain homeownership and avoid future defaults.

Responsibilities:
- Review borrower documentation, including income, assets, and appraisals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain transparent communication throughout the process to enhance borrower experiences and build trust.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve conditions, improve processes, and achieve timely resolutions.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on borrower documents and submit completed files for claims processing.
- Stay updated on regulations and industry standards, ensuring decisions reflect best practices and compliance requirements.

Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Knowledge of default loss mitigation servicing, with specific experience in FHA loans preferred.
- Experience working on a mortgage servicing platform is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a mortgage servicing or loan servicing role is advantageous.
- MSP or FICS Mortgage Servicer a plus.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Word processing (speed and accuracy)
- Email and Internet software
- Use typical office equipment (computers, fax, phones, copiers, scanners, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
