Working under general supervision, you will ensure maximum equipment uptime in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment. This is an ideal role for a veteran technician with deep expertise in hydraulics and mechanical systems who enjoys working independently to solve complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
Predictive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment, including pumps, cranes, hoists, and vacuum systems.
Troubleshooting: Observe devices in operation to locate causes of trouble; dismantle equipment to remove defective parts and examine them for imperfections.
Machining & Fabrication: Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts.
Welding: Perform Arc, Gas, and TIG/MIG welding as required for equipment repair and installation.
Technical Installation: Layout jobs, compile bills of materials, and install new structural or functional parts in specialized plant equipment.
Facility Support: Repair electrical equipment, run conduit, and perform basic vehicle/forklift repairs.
Documentation & Training: Use Microsoft software for parts sourcing and assist in training new employees and trainees.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of mechanical/facility repair, hydraulic systems, and the ability to read complex electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Blueprint Literacy: Expert ability to read and understand complicated blueprints and technical specifications.
Equipment Mastery: Demonstrated ability to maintain and diagnose complicated machinery such as hot presses and radial drill presses.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate measurements in all units, including common fractions and decimals.
Tooling: Must possess a basic set of standard trade tools.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required: 5?10 years of successful related experience in the machine tool field.
Preferred: Completion of a relevant trade school program or vocational training.
Licensing: Ability to operate forklifts, aerial boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
