As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for the following:Precision Machining: Under minimal supervision, you will set up and operate manually controlled machines to perform skilled precision work, including the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of machinery, tools, and equipment.Technical Interpretation: You will study and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine exact dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of operations for finished workpieces.Fabrication Prep: You will measure and mark reference points on materials to serve as a precise guide for all subsequent machining processes.Operational Quality Control: You will actively detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, making necessary adjustments to controls to ensure every part meets quality standards.Team Support & Training: You will act as a technical resource by supporting and training other operators in loading parts, proving programs, setting offsets, and performing simple edits.Maintenance & Care: You are responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment and ensuring your work area remains clean and orderly.Collaborative Problem Solving: You will communicate effectively with management, production control, and quality teams to resolve machining issues and receive assignments.Compliance & Safety: You will strictly adhere to all state and federal laws, company quality programs, and safety/environmental regulations to ensure a secure work environment.Reporting: You will promptly report any significant machine malfunctions to the Operations Manager to minimize downtime
