Responsibilities:
Cost & Inventory Accounting: Monitor, analyze, and reconcile inventory balances, bill of materials (BOM), variance reports (yield, labor, overhead), and cost of goods sold (COGS).
General Ledger & Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules during month-end and year-end closing cycles.
Operational Reporting: Partner with plant operations and production teams to track key performance indicators, waste, scrap, and production efficiency metrics.
Process Improvement & Systems: Assist in maintaining and improving internal accounting controls, inventory tracking processes, and ERP system data accuracy.
Audit & Compliance support: Assist with internal and external audit preparation, tax filings, and regulatory compliance schedules as needed.

Skills:
Food Manufacturing Background: Direct experience with batch processing, perishable inventory management, yield variance tracking, SQF/FDA compliance considerations, or lot traceability.

Qualifications:
Minimum [1-4] years of progressive accounting experience strictly within a manufacturing or production environment (Required).
Education: Associate???s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and hands-on manufacturing accounting experience).
Technical Skills: Proficiency with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, DeAR/Cin7, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to manage a flexible schedule, prioritize shifting operational demands, and work independently.
