We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Tech Lead - Stamping to direct, train, and guide our press operations team. Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Coordination: Direct, train, and guide Manufacturing Technicians in daily press operations, coordinate departmental tasks, and assist supervisors with training and performance feedback.
Advanced Press Setup & Operation: Perform complex setups (including setting feed and shut height) and operate multiple stamping presses to produce high-quality components.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot press machinery and shop equipment to minimize production downtime.
Inspection & Quality Assurance: Conduct dimensional inspections using advanced measuring instruments and perform first piece/first article approvals to ensure strict specification compliance.
Documentation & Safety: Maintain accurate work records, safely handle large loads using forklifts/material handling equipment, and enforce all company safety and manufacturing standards.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:45 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Proven experience standing in for departmental managers during absences
Practical knowledge of root-cause problem-solving techniques and continuous improvement methods
Familiarity with ETCO product lines, stamping specifications, and automated press setups
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Completion of Manufacturing Tech IV designation or equivalent experience
Strong general leadership skills with the ability to direct, train, answer questions, and guide team members
Demonstrated capability in setting feed, shut height, and performing machine setups for multiple stamping presses
Advanced inspection skills using precision tools (e.g., optical comparators, micro views, calipers) for first piece and first article inspections
Experience operating machining equipment, material handling equipment for large loads, and forklifts as needed
Clear verbal and written communication skills to report production barriers, training needs, and maintenance concerns to management
