Material Handlers operate forklifts and other material handling equipment and work closely with Warehouse, Production, and Shipping & Receiving teams to ensure smooth material flow across the facility
Responsibilities:
Material Movement & Handling
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
Deliver packaging materials and supplies from warehouse storage to production line staging areas.
Move finished goods from production to designated warehouse storage locations.
Support internal material transfers between cold storage, dry storage, and other warehouse areas.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
Follow established procedures for inventory movement, location control, and lot traceability.
Ensure materials are placed in correct storage locations and properly labeled.
Support FIFO and FEFO practices during material movement.
Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification activities as directed.
Production Support
Coordinate with Production to ensure timely delivery of materials to support continuous line operation.
Respond to material requests and replenish line-side inventory as needed.
Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Food Safety & Compliance
Follow all GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
Maintain proper handling and segregation of materials to support food safety and organic integrity.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of warehouse and staging areas.
Support audit and inspection activities as required.
Equipment Operation & Safety
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Perform daily equipment checks and report any issues.
Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Warehouse, Production, and Shipping & Receiving teams to support overall plant operations.
Assist with loading or unloading activities as needed to support operations.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Forklift certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
Experience operating forklifts in a production or warehouse environment strongly preferred.
Basic understanding of inventory control and material handling practices.
Ability to follow instructions and complete documentation accurately.
Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Shift & Scheduling Expectations
This is an on-site, production-support role requiring schedule flexibility.
Shift assignment may vary based on startup phase, production needs, and future facility growth.
Willingness to work day, swing, extended, or weekend shifts as required.
