- Lead the mechanical design of complex products and components using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, translating conceptual requirements into detailed, manufacturable designs.- Conduct rigorous engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to validate design integrity, performance, durability, and safety under specified operating conditions.- Develop detailed test plans, oversee the construction and testing of prototypes, analyze results, and implement design iterations based on performance data and failure analysis.- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure designs are optimized for production processes, quality, and cost-efficiency (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly - DFMA).- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and engineering change orders (ECOs).- Work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams (e.g., electrical, quality, R&D) to ensure seamless product integration and launch.- Provide timely engineering support to resolve production and field-related mechanical issues, performing root cause analysis to implement long-term corrective actions.
1-4 years
- Experience in a relevant industry such as oil & gas, specialized industrial equipment, high-pressure systems, or power generation.- Direct experience with common manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, welding, casting) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in mechanical design, product development, or a related engineering role.- Advanced proficiency in at least one major commercial CAD software package (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or equivalent).- Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, statics/dynamics, and materials science.- Demonstrated ability to perform engineering calculations and basic stress/structural analysis.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical report writing, presentations, and team collaboration.
