The Metal Fabricator / Warehouse Associate is responsible for the precision cutting and shaping of metal roofing components while also supporting daily warehouse operations. This includes maintaining inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring a safe, organized workspace. Responsibilities:
Fabrication: Operate CNC folders, shears, and roll-forming machines to create flashing, gutters, and panels.
Warehouse Support: Perform general labor tasks including picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery.
Inventory Management: Assist in receiving incoming metal coils and roofing supplies; ensure all materials are stored in their designated areas.
Loading/Unloading: Safely operate a forklift or pallet jack to load finished products onto trucks and unload raw materials from vendors.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe shop environment by removing scrap metal, organizing tools, and sweeping work areas.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Equipment Certification: Current or previous Forklift/Pallet Jack certification.
Specialized Metalwork: Experience with specific roofing metals such as copper, 24-gauge steel, or aluminum.
CNC Knowledge: Previous experience programming or operating CNC folding machines
Logistics Experience: Familiarity with shipping/receiving software or basic digital inventory tracking.
Roofing Industry Knowledge: Understanding of roofing components (flashing, drip edges, and valley metal).

Measurement Accuracy: Mastery of tape measures and ability to perform shop math (fractions, decimals, and basic geometry).
Physical Proficiency: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 8+ hour shifts, and navigate a busy warehouse environment.
Technical Aptitude: Experience operating or learning to operate industrial machinery (shears, folders, or roll-formers).
Warehouse Fundamentals: Experience with order picking, staging, and basic inventory documentation.
Safety Compliance: Proven track record of following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and OSHA safety standards.
