Spherion Staffing is hiring 1st Shift MIG Welders for a premier local manufacturing partner. In this role, you will fabricate, repair, and maintain equipment parts, structures, and industrial components.
Schedule & Hours
-Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
-Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Overtime as needed)

-Welding & Fabrication: Execute high-quality MIG welds, repairs, and custom fabrications using industry-standard techniques.
-Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine precise welding procedures.
-Equipment Operation: Operate manual and robotic welding systems, as well as fabrication equipment (drill presses, saws, lathes, and hand tools).
-Quality Assurance: Inspect finished welds to ensure structural integrity and strict compliance with safety standards.
-Part Preparation: Use grinding and finishing tools to smooth surfaces and ensure precise fitment.

Qualifications:
-Experience: Proven track record as a MIG welder in a manufacturing or production environment.
-Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of welding principles, safety protocols, mechanical math, and precision measuring tools.
-Physical Capabilities:
Ability to stand, lift, bend, and handle materials continuously throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift and move items up to 75 lbs.
-Environment: Comfortable working in an active industrial setting with noise, heavy machinery, and shifting temperatures.
