Applicants need to have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years' of experience in a safety role in the construction or manufacturing fieldSalary $70k+ DOEResponsibilities:- Assess and research safety training needs and programs - Conduct safety-related training for all employees on safety policies, regulations and procedures - Develop, implement and coordinate cost effective safety training programs- Inspect facilities and other work areas to detect unsafe conditions, and takes corrective action as needed- Investigate accidents, injuries, illnesses, and exposures to determine cause and make corrective recommendations based upon findings; develop a process or procedure for preventing reoccurrence- Work with supervisors, injured workers, and others to facilitate return-to-work programs- Develop, implement, and conduct ongoing training of company safety program- Create and communicate weekly Safety Topics to the company employees- Work to create a positive safety culture and not one of safety through fear- Direct activities and serves as chair of safety committee- Prepare and maintain safety and emergency response plans and coordinates review/revision- Maintain SDS and chemical safety information as required by OSHA for all locations- Oversee the maintenance of DQ/DOT Files and ensures compliance with requirements, including random drug testing/post-accident drug testing and Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements- Maintain quarterly MSHA reporting- Oversee the annual OSHA 300 process- Manage the AEDs through Heart Smart online program for all locations- Oversee the workers compensation claims and workers compensation audits paperwork processesResponsibilities:See aboveWorking hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:Requirements:-Bachelor's degree in a health and safety or a related field-Three to five years of experience in a safety role in the construction or manufacturing fieldEducation:BachelorsExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:See above To be considered, please apply online at www.spherion.com/apply or email your resume to karenwitzel@spherion.comSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
