Local leader in Materials Engineering Solutions is seeking a Novice Orbital Welder.
Will train 6-10 weeks on a Day Shift (6:00am-4:30pm) and will then move to a Swing Shift (4:00pm-2:30am)
This position is an entry level with little to no experience but must be detailed orientated and can be trained

-Novice orbital welder and use of common shop tools such as grinders, sanders and hydraulic straightening equipment.
-Moderate capability for reading and understanding engineering drawings.
-Will be using the following measuring equipment (tape measure, framing square, straight edge).
-Using shop measuring equipment, engineering drawings and cutting equipment to cut stock (tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.) for simple welded miscellaneous assemblies and frame assemblies.
-Will be fabricating simple miscellaneous welded assemblies.
-Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss
Working hours: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM

-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-0-2 years experience
-Prior welding experience or knowledge is preferred
-Physically demanding position requiring walking, bending, squatting and kneeling
-Must be willing and able to wear PPE (Hood, Coveralls, Gloves, Safety Glasses and Gators)
