We are seeking an organized, detailed, and dependable Payroll Coordinator to join our Client's team in Alvin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring high accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely execution across all employee pay groups. Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Payroll Processing: Calculate, prepare, and process multi-state or regional payrolls (weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly) for hourly and salaried employees.
Timekeeping & Audit: Review and reconcile electronic timesheets, approve overtime hours, calculate shift differentials, and verify paid time off (PTO) balances prior to payroll runs.
Tax & Statutory Compliance: Oversee payroll tax withholdings, local/state/federal filings, and statutory deductions. Manage garnishments, child support orders, and tax levies in accordance with federal and Texas state regulations.
System Maintenance & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee master records in the Payroll/HRIS platform (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday). Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports, including W-2 balancing and audit prep.
Employee Relations & Support: Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies regarding withholdings, direct deposits, and wage calculations in a professional and confidential manner.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience: 3+ years of dedicated payroll processing experience; background handling both hourly and salaried personnel preferred.
Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a strong plus.

Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern payroll and timekeeping platforms (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paychex, or Kronos) and intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data audits).
Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical aptitudes, strict adherence to confidentiality guidelines, and thorough knowledge of FLSA, Texas Payday Law, and federal tax codes.
Education: High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor???s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
