As our PM Mechanic, your primary duty is to keep our heavy wheeled assets in peak condition. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Systematic PM Execution: Perform comprehensive "A" and "B" level preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty wheeled vehicles (trucks, industrial trailers, etc.) in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company schedules.Safety & Compliance Inspections: Conduct thorough safety checks, including brake, steering, suspension, and tire inspections, to ensure all vehicles meet compliance standards before field deployment.Fluid & Filtration Management: Execute oil changes, fluid level checks, and replacements for engines, transmissions, cooling, and hydraulic systems. Replace air, fuel, and cabin filters as required.Lubrication & Adjustment: Systematically lubricate all chassis and heavy equipment components, and perform minor adjustments (e.g., brakes, clutches) to maintain optimal operating specifications.Early Issue Identification: Utilize visual, auditory, and diagnostic tools to inspect chassis, engines (diesel and gas), and electrical systems to proactively identify and report early signs of wear or necessary repairs, preventing costly failures.Documentation: Accurately complete digital and written work orders, service logs, and maintenance reports, noting parts used and time applied.Shop Stewardship: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.

Credentials: High School Diploma or GED required. Technical training or certification (e.g., ASE, Diesel Technology) is highly advantageous.
Experience: Proven, verifiable experience performing Preventive Maintenance on heavy wheeled vehicles (e.g., Class 6-8 trucks, commercial fleet, construction vehicles).Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of diesel/gas engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, cooling systems, and electrical diagnostics relevant to heavy equipment PM.Physical Ability: Must be capable of performing heavy mechanical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.Tooling: Must possess basic required hand and power tools for the PM trade.
