The Digital Press Operator is responsible for producing printed orders in the most efficient manner, maximizing time while minimizing waste; setting up the press, including the installation of paper, cylinders, perf wheels/blades and ink to print quality product that meets production and customer specifications; making adjustments to speed, tension, ink, viscosities, etc. as needed to achieve high standards of quality printed product.

Responsibilities:
Operate and Maintain Press: Set up, operate, and perform routine preventative maintenance on our digital presses (e.g., HP Indigo, Xerox Versant, Canon, etc.).
Manage Workflow: Efficiently manage print queues, review job orders, and ensure all specifications for paper stock, color, and quantity are met.
Quality Control: Conduct continuous quality control checks to ensure color consistency, image quality, and registration accuracy throughout the production run. Use tools like densitometers and spectrophotometers for precise color calibration.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, software issues, and print quality problems quickly and effectively to minimize downtime.
Prepress and File Prep: Work with digital files using workflow software like Fiery Command WorkStation. Experience with Variable Data Printing (VDP) is a major plus.
Finishing Coordination: Collaborate with the bindery and finishing departments to ensure a seamless transition from print to finished product.
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
