Spherion is seeking a Production Associate I (QA) for an opportunity in East Providence, RI. This position performs quality inspections, packaging, labeling, and documentation for manufactured products while following established quality and production procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections throughout the barrel production process.

Inspect products according to established workmanship standards and identify acceptable and unacceptable conditions.
Follow sampling procedures and determine when products should be sampled.
Document and report inspection findings accurately.
Set up and operate scales to obtain accurate piece counts according to work instructions.
Package and label products according to established procedures.
Record piece counts and production information.
Use a computer and labeling system to generate product labels as needed.
Identify, separate, and tag products that may require further review or disposition.
Maintain accurate quality and production records.
Follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work cooperatively with team members and other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Skills:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous quality assurance or inspection experience.
Familiarity with basic measuring equipment.
Previous manufacturing or production experience.
Experience with product packaging, labeling, or counting.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Basic math skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to accurately inspect and handle products.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Basic computer skills.
