Spherion is seeking detail-oriented team members to join our team for an upcoming parts measuring project. In this role, you play a key part in maintaining high-performance standards across Manufacturing and Warehouse operations. Candidates with experience operating basic measuring tools and good math skills will thrive in this position. Responsibilities:
Use calipers, micrometers, and basic gauges to accurately measure manufactured components and verify dimensional accuracy
Apply basic math skills to calculate tolerances, record exact dimensions, and maintain high quality control logs
Assist assembly and production teams by inspecting incoming materials and preparing verified parts for further processing
Support Logistics operations, including sorting measured parts, assisting with shipping and receiving, and loading products for internal movement
Perform general utility duties across the plant floor, collaborating with forklift operators and floor leads to keep project areas safe and organized
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Prior experience as a Machine Operator, in assembly work, or maintaining quality standards in a plant environment
Background in Warehouse, Logistics, shipping, receiving, or material handling
Forklift operating experience
Ability to adapt to various utility and production duties across the plant floor
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience using precision instruments, specifically calipers and micrometers
Practical arithmetic and basic math skills to evaluate component specifications and calculate tolerances
High attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
Good work ethic and reliability
