Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of geotechnical engineering projects, including defining project scope, schedule, and budget.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and design teams, providing technical expertise and addressing project-related concerns.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for new projects and manage project budgets, invoices, and collections.
Plan, coordinate, and execute geotechnical field investigations, including utility coordination, boring layout, and supervising drilling crews.
Oversee data collection activities such as seismic refraction and shear wave velocity, and resistivity surveys.
Perform and review complex geotechnical analyses for foundation design, slope stability, earth retention systems, and other geotechnical structures using industry-standard software.
Prepare and/or review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and boring logs.
Coordinate with subcontractors, internal project staff, and other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, environmental) to ensure integrated and seamless project delivery.
Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical design requirements and specifications.
Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of professional development and technical excellence.
Lead safety efforts for project teams and ensure adherence to all safety rules and guidelines.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Proficiency in industry-standard geotechnical software (e.g., LPILE, SLIDE, gINT, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, GRLWEAP).
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CAD software for design integration (preferred).

Bachelors
Experience:
7-10 years
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required); Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina or Georgia (or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment).
