      Spherion Staffing is interviewing for the position of Production Planning Analyst for a local client. The purpose of this position is to develop plans to manage capacity and the low-cost production of inventory within our distribution network by ensuring proper levels of each product are available to satisfy customer demand. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting & 5+ years' in Supply Chain role.Salary $50-70k/year DOEResponsibilities: - On-site SAP-MRP expert- Develop long-term production plans for packaging needs based on sales forecast, seasonality, etc. in order to meet customer orders- Develop detailed production schedules to execute against the long-term packaging plans with coordination of the individual plants.- Day-Day demand management to anticipate demand for products based on forecast, seasonality, prior history etc.- Work with Purchasing and sales to monitor and manage the availability of materials- Analyze customer requirements and targeted inventory levels to plan schedules and set production expectations to meet these objectives - Work with Cross-Functional Teams/players to plan, analyze and manage production activities - Evaluate production and packaging issues, analyze root causes and derive solutions - Responsible for actively researching and analyzing lower cost methods to source and produce products- Monitor the execution of the production plan, identify deviations, explain variances and take measures to improve optimization- Develop strong working relationships and working knowledge with supply chain internal and external customers and suppliersResponsibilities:See aboveWorking hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:Requirements: -Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics-Experience in Supply Chain Management -APICS Certification is a Plus-Strong working knowledge of Excel & WordEducation:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:See above To be considered, please apply online at www.spherion.com/apply or email your resume to kerrimattern@spherion.comSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
