The focus of this job is on producing high-quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. Precise and consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. Consistent, error-free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free.Pay: $19-$21/hourResponsibilities:Monitor material flowManage inventory levels and accuracy in the manufacturing system through the monitoring of physical inventory counts and inventory transactions that affect the assigned value stream/cellUpdate Heijunka boards and replenishment systemsPerforms cycle counts and works with Inventory Analyst to have adjustments made to insure inventory accuracy is maintainedAnalyzes and determines estimated ship dates on orders based on material availability and through coordination with the Assembly Cell LeadPerform material replenishmentWill perform lead duties/functions in the absence of the cell leadManage inventory levels and communicates potential shortage to manufacturing and/or purchasing to minimize stock outagesResponsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory, which includes monitoring all inventory transactions within the designated value streamCommunicate with purchasingWorks closely with upstream suppliers and downstream customersMust monitor and communicate the performance of the Receiving Department, Bench Assembly Workers, and Shipping Department in the following Supermarket rulesAssist in training of new shop employees in the rules of the Supermarket and Electronic KanbanWorking hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMSkills:Good mathematical aptitudeCompetent with MS Excel and Word and basic computer skillsLean implementer certification preferredMust be flexible to perform a variety of assignments and adapt to changing conditionsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingSelf-motivated with a strong desire to succeedAbility to make recommendations and effectively participate in the implementation of plant policies and proceduresAbility to work well with othersEducation:High SchoolExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:2 years of experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is requiredPrefer lean implementer certificationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate degree (preferred)This individual may be required to lift items up to 75 lbs (with assistance)Ability to pass background and drug screenLongevity in previous positions Apply today!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
