      Spherion is seeking Machine Operators in St. Charles, MI! Starting compensation is $16 an hour and employees can expect to work 12 hours shifts. A 3/2/2 Schedule (6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am) is in effect here giving you a 3-day weekend EVERY OTHER WEEKEND! Must have steel toed boots! Employees who demonstrate a good attendance record as well as a positive work ethic are eligible for full-time hire after 120-days where there are competitive benefits as well as a 401K and vacation pay! This is an air conditioned facility!Responsibilities:Maintain production machinery operating properlyEnsuring correct materials is loaded on each machinesOccasionally loading machine with raw materialsPlace part for completed products on palletsMaintain accurate and up to date production records in PLEX system as required by QALoad and unload materials in productionVisually inspect for quality defect detectionMaintain a clean machine and surrounding work areaFollow detailed work instructions for the assigned process at each machineOperate all equipment in the required and prescribed mannerReport any safety concerns to the managerSupport Company's continuous improvement initiativesSkills:Regular use of hands and arms for moving and manipulating materials in each step of the production processRegular standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying up to 50LbsMust have adequate communication skills to work well with other team membersMust be able to do basic data entry with computers on each production lineExcellent attention to detailQualifications:High School Diploma equivalent training or experienceMinimum of 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing role is preferredMust comply with Spherion's Drug Free Workplace Policy and disclose relevant criminal history at the time of hireMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have reliable transportationAre you looking for a steady CAREER?       Assist senior buyers in the procurement of goods and services in the most efficient and effective means considering cost, delivery, quality and service of the goods available.
