      We are looking for an experienced assembler to join a local, employee owned optical engineering company in Williston, VT!Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm.Responsibilities:Validate incoming materials from suppliersAssemble and test sub-assemblies and final product per assembly instructions and test proceduresRecord production data as requested, e.g. quantity produced/unit time, time to perform tasks, etc.Train new personnel on all aspects of the production build including assembly, test, process efficiency strategies, and quality considerations.Assist in inventory counts and inventory tracking activities as requestedPackage final product for shelf and shippingDistribute received materials and supplies to correct stock locationsComply with all manufacturing and quality proceduresExcellent attention to detail and high standard of quality requiredWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMSkills:Proven experience as assembler.Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.Understanding of basic mechanical principles; ability to read and understand mechanical drawings related to fabrication and assemblyGood communication skills (verbal and written)Visual acuity and manual dexterity to assemble small componentsExcellent hand-eye coordination.Must be vaccinated against COVID-19Education:No Degree RequiredExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Can sit during shift if needed.
