Operate stacker line for coil steel, in addition to operation of the pack table to skid and shrink wrap customer material.Maintain the facility?s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance of equipment.Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.Associates must maintain an active forklift certification.Participate in physical inventories; perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.Print labels & apply to appropriate pallets for shipping.Use RF scanner to scan products.Review customer orders & cross reference SKU numbers for accuracy.Perform various packaging and wrapping functions, as well as putting material on pallets for shipment.Repair packaging and pallets as requested.May be required to use computer for basic data entry.Efficiently stack and store product in appropriate area.Maintain an organized work area.Prepare shipments for shipping accurately and in a timely manner, as required.Working hours: 10:45 PM - 7:15 PM (Various Shifts Available)Skills:Individual must be eager to learn new things and trainable.Able to work in a team environment Able to lift up to 40 lbsIndividuals must be focused on safetyEducation:No Degree RequiredExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Previous machine operation (preferred)Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety and policy manuals)Basic mathematical skillsTake pride in delivering excellent customer serviceThrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environmentAbility to work closely with others in a team environmentBasic computer skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrior metals experience preferred Apply here ot text "METAL" to 256-881-0993Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
