      Excellent Opportunity to Gain Pharmacy Experience!Temporary with the opportunity for conversion/permanent hire!Spherion is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician for our client's location on the east side of Madison. In this position, you will be a part of one of the nation's largest multi-specialty physician groups and health insurance providers committed to providing exceptional service to its patients.Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service including greeting patients, assisting with merchandise questions, and answering phones in a professional and friendly manner- Process prescriptions by entering patient, insurance, and prescription information into the computer- Research and correct rejected insurance claims- Review patient profiles in the pharmacy system for medication history and discontinued, old prescriptions- Identify qualifying clients by utilizing a variety of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs- Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions by retrieving the correct medication from inventory and matching it to the National Drug Code (NDC), manufacturer, drug name, strength, form, and quantity- Check-in wholesale orders, ensure orders are within date and match ordered quantity, and process invoices- Operate the cash register including end of day check out- Organize and file completed prescriptions for documentation and future reference- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy and demonstrate proper handling of controlled substancesWorking hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PMSkills:- Excellent verbal communication skills- Ability to stand for long periods of timeEducation:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:- High School Diploma or GED required- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire date- Previous customer service or pharmacy technician experience- Previous cash handling experience preferred- Ability to provide proof of vaccination Apply via the apply button in the top right hand corner.Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
