Extra pay is available for employees willing to work during the holidays.Available Shifts: - Days: 8 am to 8 pm (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on and 3 off)- Nights: 8 pm to 8 am (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on and 3 off)Pay: $16-$19/hr with perfect attendanceThe Line Operator III/IV demonstrates and provides leadership to the production floor combined with an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of the extrusion process and film performance. This role is responsible for ensuring the production line is operating properly in order to meet standards both in quality and production goals while helping to ensure safety standards are maintained. Position demonstrates leadership and engages in training as a Senior Operator. Line Operator III/IV must be knowledgeable in and follow all procedures needed to ensure the proper safe and efficient operation of their production line.Responsibilities:- Monitors schedules and makes preparations for line changeovers and effectively performs screen changes when required- Pulls rolls, properly labels, and packages product that meet established quality standards- Monitors line computers and is able to recognize any wrong or dangerous conditions- Pulls all QA tests and monitors results to ensure quality product is being produced, communicates any quality issues- Further trains in Quality by performing tasks in the lab including researching, testing, and processing rolls with guidance from management to ensure quality standards are being met- Maintains calibration of test equipment based on schedule and assists outside vendors in the quality lab- Stays current and up to date on machinery for production set up and troubleshoots for a variety of issues on assigned line, performs troubleshooting in order to maintain production efforts, fine-tunes equipment- Maintains advanced knowledge of film performance and product lines- Completes all shift and line reports in a timely manner- Other duties as requested or assigned by managementWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PMSkills:- Technical aptitude to understand machinery and systems within a production environment- Mechanical aptitude to understand and properly utilize basic hand tools with accuracy- Completes all shift and line reports in a timely manner- Ability to understand and properly utilize scales, weights, and other measurement tools with accuracy- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement while adapting to fast-paced environment and rapid changes- Able to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail- Strong organizational skills combined with good problem-solving skills- Practice and promote teamwork within our organization- Demonstrates leadership qualities and capabilities- Ability to climb onto elevated surfaces off the ground, railcars, silos, utilize ladders, stairs, step stools, and other equipment necessary while following all applicable safety rules and guidelinesEducation:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:- High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Basic mathematic skills- Ability to pass a background and drug screen- Longevity in previous positions- High School diploma or equivalent- Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment Apply today!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
