Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or the Value Stream Manager, the Cable Assembler will be responsible for assembling, preparing, and packaging our cable products for shipping.Responsibilities:Assembly of cable componentsPackage cable orders for shipmentRead and interpret engineering drawings as needed for accurate and safe performance of the jobFollowing Standard Operating Procedures and/or Standard WorkEnsure a high level of quality by completing required in-process quality checksFollow work order directions and safely produce the quantity of parts required and within the required specificationsComplete and maintain all required paperwork necessary in the operationOperate specific assembly toolsSome electrical wiringPerform other duties and projects as assignedWorking hours: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AMSkills:-Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect parts produced-Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must-Excellent communication skills-Frequent lifting, standing, and bending required-Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of metal materials and safely utilizing mechanical lifts-Attention to detail is a mustEducation:No Degree RequiredExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:This is a fast paced and physically demanding position. Must have hand and wrist strength. Comfortable with hand tools and heavy lifting.
