      CMM Operators/Quality Inspectors are responsible for providing leadership and direction in support of the company's Quality Management System. This will require an individual who is a self-starter, motivated and multi-task oriented. Candidate should be experienced with inspections in a production/manufacturing environment. CMM Inspectors utilize a CMM for dimensional inspections, (detail parts, components, and assemblies) and provide reports to support inspections performed. Duties will include (but not limited to) receiving an inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, disposition and control of nonconforming product, first article inspection and record keeping.Responsibilities:Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.Always consider safety before action.Operate CMM in automatic program mode, using (PC DMIS) programs.Manipulate CMM results using CADInspection and calibration of inspection fixtures and hand tools.Preparation of layout reports using the computer.Maintain department equipment. Communicate effectively with machinists and operators to maintain acceptable quality. Perform First Article Inspections by hand also with a variety of inspection tools.Must be a demonstrated team player with a positive attitude, superior work ethic, and able to solve issues respectfully with peers and management. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen events along with zero Defect Quality Initiatives.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Must be able to Read/Comprehend English instructions.Computer literate (spreadsheets and word processor)Strong written and oral communication skills and legible handwriting.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Understanding of CMM operationsEducation:TradeExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:PC DMIS experience.
