Spherion Staffing is seeking a Production Quality Engineer for an aerospace manufacturing facility in Tallassee, AL. In this role, you will oversee daily quality procedure compliance across facility operations, including cleanroom environmental monitoring, equipment calibration, and material storage. You will lead First Article Inspections (FAI), support non-conformance resolutions through Material Review Boards (MRB) and Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and ensure all products meet strict company and aerospace standards before moving into production.

Responsibilities:
First Article Inspection (FAI): Provide full verification and sign-off on FAI reports as products transition from engineering to manufacturing.
Non-Conformance & Issue Resolution: Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and manage Corrective Action Reports (CAR) using root-cause methodologies (5 Whys, 8D).
Facility & Storage Compliance: Conduct daily cleanroom monitoring (particle counts, temperature, humidity), track freezer storage logs/material shelf-life, and coordinate equipment calibrations.
Receiving & Quarantine Inspection: Perform incoming material inspections, manage quarantine procedures, and process material non-conformances.
Auditing & Reporting: Support internal/external quality audits, maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, and prepare data presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Auditing Credentials: Proven experience participating in or conducting internal QMS audits.
Advanced Quality Methodologies: Practical experience with Six Sigma principles and MRB workflows.
Cleanroom & Environmental Controls: Hands-on experience with cleanroom particle/climate monitoring, freezer life deduction logs, or calibration scheduling.

Qualifications:
Quality & Aerospace Experience: Background in quality within a multi-site manufacturing environment and familiarity with aerospace standards.
Inspection & Problem-Solving: Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures, 5 Whys, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
Technical Software Literacy: Proficient in MS Office, specifically using Excel for data collation and PowerPoint for presentation reporting.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and diplomatic communication skills to critique processes, write compliance reports, and work with cross-functional teams.
