Responsibilities:
Inspect finished or in-process products using basic measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Audit production processes for compliance with internal procedures, line clearance, raw material usage, and housekeeping standards.
Review and audit reports, forms, and records to verify accuracy and adherence to quality procedures.
Support and guide less experienced inspectors and production staff in quality control practices.
Assist in training team members on QC methods, documentation, and company standards.
Use simple math, formulas, charts, and drawings to verify measurements and calculations.
Operate computer systems and input quality-related data accurately.
Report and document non-conformances and assist in troubleshooting quality issues.
Comply with all safety, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all company safety protocols.
Follow all product safety and quality standards, including SQF (Safe Quality Food) and IPC product defense guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Continuous Improvement team.
Working hours: 4:55 PM - 5:00 AM
Skills:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
Experience with data acquisition systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, SOPs, safety rules, and production drawings.
Familiarity with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and digital force gauges.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing (1+ years preferred).
Understanding of GMPs, SQF requirements, and food safety practices.
Time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required).
Minimum 1 year of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions.
Proficiency with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gradient cylinders, force gauges, etc.
Ability to complete reports, forms, and records accurately.
Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize defects and non-conformance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Physical capability to stand, sit, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 lbs.
