The Quality Manager (Bilingual) is responsible for leading all quality assurance and food safety functions within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and customer specifications, while promoting a strong food safety and continuous improvement culture across the organization.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Quality Department, ensuring effective execution of quality and food safety programs.
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems, including cGMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and food safety plans specific to food manufacturing.
Ensure full compliance with FDA regulations and applicable food safety standards.
Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process production, and finished food products.
Coordinate and lead internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections, including FDA visits.
Conduct root cause analysis and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Partner with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
Lead training programs for employees on food safety, GMPs, sanitation, and quality procedures, delivering training in both English and Spanish.
Manage customer quality complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Track, analyze, and report quality metrics to senior management.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience in nutraceuticals, supplements, or gummy manufacturing.(Desired)
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
SQF, PCQI, or similar food safety certifications
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management
Experience in food manufacturing industry (required).
Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMPs, HACCP, and food safety systems.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required) both written and verbal
Proven leadership experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing environment.
Experience preparing for and responding to regulatory and customer audits.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
