Spherion is seeking a Quality Technician. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality audits on packaging lines to ensure products and packaging meet established standards and personnel follow all protocols. This role involves laboratory testing of raw and finished products, as well as active participation in food safety programs, documentation, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality audits and packaging line checks to ensure all products meet master specifications.
- Operate laboratory equipment to perform chemical analysis and report critical data to management.
- Maintain accurate food safety documentation and support facility-wide compliance with GMP standards.
- Perform environmental monitoring, including gathering samples from production and dock areas.
- Lead Pre-Op inspections and start-up swabs to ensure a sanitary production environment.
- Identify and communicate food safety concerns immediately and prepare Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) as needed.
Skills:
- Specialized training in Food Technology or Lab Science preferred)
- Previous Quality Assurance experience in a food production environment is highly preferred.
- Sharp attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with the leadership team
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to perform basic math, handle laboratory tools with manual dexterity, and follow complex directions consistently
