In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for community members, local officials, and visitors. This organization focuses on improving the well-being of local residents, meaning your daily work directly supports programs that help seniors, families, and emergency services in our community. Responsibilities:
Welcome Visitors: Greet walk-in guests, clients, and community partners with a warm and professional demeanor.
Manage Communication: Answer and route incoming telephone calls using a multi-line phone system, take accurate messages, and direct callers to the correct department or external community resources.
Provide Information: Share accurate details regarding programs, application procedures, forms, and waiting lists with the public.
Administrative Support: Assist with general office duties, including data entry, sorting and distributing mail, scanning documents, and maintaining clean lobby and front desk spaces.
Maintain Continuity: Keep the front desk operating seamlessly so the permanent team can successfully complete their training.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role.
Familiarity with operating multi-line telephone systems or standard office equipment.
Bilingual speaking proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a focus on great customer service.
Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
The ability to multi-task and stay organized in a public-facing setting.
