        Spherion has partnered with a Non Profit Organization in Naples, Florida seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team.The Accounting Manager performs administrative and supervisory work in the financial and business area of the organization. This includes budget, financial management and reporting, purchasing, audits, and all other financial operations of the organization. He or she works to maintain the integrity of the organization, ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met, and that resources are managed effectively. This is an immediate direct hire opportunity with competitive compensation & benefits package!Responsibilities:The Accounting Manager?s essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:-Monitor and report on the organization?s financial stability to management and the board of directors.-Responsible for budget development, monitoring and management.-Coordinates the development of, and prepares, school general fund and special projects budgets; prepares budget transfers as appropriate; monitors charter school budgets.-Develops annual operating budget details for school leaders and staff.-Maintains knowledge of all laws and changes in laws, regulations and rules applicable to school finances.-Oversees the preparation and maintenance of purchase orders and other expense records; approves and monitors expenditures; and ensures expenditures are within budget allowances for the month and year.-Oversees procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, and inventory management.-Prepares support for annual performance audit in collaboration with school leaders.-Review monthly financial reports and update monthly financial statement templates, including budget to actual reports, required district reporting, board financial reports, and prospective cash flow statements.-Coordinate with the grant writers for all federal, state, and local grant applications and reporting.-Oversee grant implementation and budget compliance.-Provide financial oversight, including contract review and invoice approval.-Manage accounts payable and oversee outsourced payroll processes.-Oversee year-end audits as well as any audits from state or federal agencies.-Support board treasurers and audit and finance committees by preparing reports and answering inquiries from board members.-Prepares necessary forms to hire, upgrade, terminate or authorize special payments to staff.-Special projects and other duties as assigned.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Computer Skills - Must be technology saavy-To perform this job successfully an individual must have knowledge of web based accounting software QuickBooks, order processing software, MS Office Suite.Education:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:-Five years broad, varied and increasingly responsible experience with budgeting, computer information systems, and organizational procedures.-Must have strong technology skills-Charter school experience desirable.-Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Organizational Management, or related discipline.
