      Spherion, in partnership with Exact Sciences, is recruiting multiple Laboratory Exception Handlers! This position is located within our client's Specimen Processing Laboratory where clinical specimens for Cologuard and COVID-19 tests are prepared. As an Exception Handler, you will ensure consistent and diligent execution of specimen processing, testing, and the timely generation of patient results.$3,000 Sign on BONUS!!These are direct-hire positions with two shift options available:- Saturday-Monday 6:00 am - 6:30 pm (East location)- Tuesday-Friday 12:30 pm- 11:00 pm (East and West location)Responsibilities:- Investigate and resolve specimen issues or test issues for the clinical laboratory and specimen processing department to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results- Maintain accurate records of problems and problem resolution related to specimen processing, specimen storage, specimen testing, inventory, and equipment- Handle and dispose of all specimens following standard precautions and applicable safety policies- Act as a point of contact for new employees, including being a part of the mentor program- Perform roamer duties, including providing the 2nd signature for specimen processing associates who encounter a kit with an exception- Share process improvement ideas while demonstrating an understanding of current processes- Follow proper specimen identification procedures in the execution of all job duties- Process laboratory specimens with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and compliance- Work to produce the best sample possible; document, follow through on problems, and work diligently to fix errors in a way that will not negatively impact patient results- Take ownership for any errors performed and keep them at an acceptable level- Other duties as assignedWorking hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality output- Excellent problem-solving skills- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff through both verbal and written communications- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing workloads and circumstances effectively and respond to new information quickly- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 25% of a typical working day- Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day.       We are looking for 3rd shift Production Lab Technicians to join the team of the world-leading provider of bovine genetics, reproduction services, and technologies. Our client is looking for detail-oriented individuals for an entry-level direct hire position responsible for operating production equipment used in the cell sorting process.This is a direct hire position with a $1,000 sign on bonus.
