      Are you a Purchasing Assistant with 3 + years experience looking for a great opportunity? This may be the perfect opportunity for you!The Purchasing Assistant's primary responsibility is to assist personnel with the procurement Process. This can be purchases made through the company portal or with purchases made through outside vendors. This role will not directly submit any requisitions or negotiate with outside vendors but will help facilitate a smooth Procurement Process.The position will consist of the majority of the time working remotely but onsite attendance will be required between 1-3 days a week, depending on circumstances.Responsibilities:* Partner with the teams they support* Become an expert in the company procurement process and transform that knowledge into guidance for the supported teams to ensure the process is being consistently followed. Must be able to effectively communicate guidance.* Must be proficient in SAP.* Provide assistance when necessary to get Purchase Orders issued by SSC. This could include troubleshooting, putting in a ticket, or escalating.* Follow-up and help expedite any Purchase Orders.* Assist the supported teams with any purchasing issues.* Perform Purchasing Orders changes (after initial issuing) as needed and authorized.* Be the point of contact for any vendor related items or questions from the supported team that they are not able to solve by themselves. This includes, but is not limited to, contact information updating, non-payment of vendors, new vendor setup, follow-ups, etc.* Be able to provide purchasing assistance when needed to help any supported team to ensure on-time delivery of parts and services.* Will be responsible for confirmation of procurement orders acceptance by vendors and resolution of issues preventing Purchasing Orders of being accepted by the vendor, including, but not limited to, price differences, lead time, obsolete materials by driving the resolution to prevent a repetition of the issue.* Must be proactive on identifying on a timely manner possible inventory and services issues related to backlog of Purchase Orders or Requisitions not transformed to a procurement order.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PMSkills:- Strong SAP knowledge as it pertains to procurement,- proficient in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, etc), - strong communication skills- knowledge of procurement fundamentals- Great team playerEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:? high school graduate ? 3 years procurement experience ?
