        This role will be responsible for tracking and processing COVID cases for the Department of Mental Health. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in the social services field, and one or more years of related experience.Responsibilities:- Assesses screening applications, medical reports, and psychological data to identify suspected mental illness, intellectual disability, and related conditions.- Processes COVID 1135 Tracking Reports for persons discharging from Medicaid Certified nursing facilities within 30 days and for those residing in the nursing facility past the time-sensitive period.- Verifies each 1135 Tracking Entry with OBRA database history.- Identifies 1135 compliance, tracking errors and inconsistencies in dates and type of report.- Identifies and records the number of days persons remain in the NF after the 30-Day Waiver period without completing the state Level I Screening Form.- Contacts nursing home professionals to obtain admission dates, discharge dates with locations, deceased dates and to resolve inconsistencies.- Scans completed 1135 Tracking Reports into the OBRA Database on a daily basis.- Assesses and makes PASRR determinations for 1135 Waiver Medical Declines and Short-Term to Long Stays.- Provides data entry and Quality Assurance Reviews on Cancelled Level II Evaluations.- As needed, completes Categorical Call-Ins; Notification Lists; and purge 6-Year inactive files- Due to the uncertainty of the National Public Health Emergency, duties are subjected to change with little or no notice.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PMSkills:- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict processing schedules.- Ability to be punctual on a daily basis.- Ability to sustain a high level of accuracy on a daily basis.- Ability to remain engaged, focused and precise with repetitive and critical work tasks.- Ability to manage cases in a fast-paced, high productivity environment.- Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and prioritize heavy and consistent workloads.- Ability to provide excellent customer service to varied and sometimes disgruntled stakeholders.- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.- Ability to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Ability to operate a computer to include Microsoft Word, Excel and various applications.Education:BachelorsExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- Bachelors degree in one of the Social Services field- 1 year of experience in one of the following settings: mental health agency/setting, nursing home, assistant living facility, hospital, rehabilitation setting, or counseling agency.- Experience with mental health diagnoses, psychotropic medications, behavioral indicators and with analyzing medical and/or mental health data is required.- Must be responsible, organized, detailed oriented and be able to sustain a high level of accuracy on a continual basis.- Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements and HIPPA.
