      Local Manufacturing Company is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Assistant. This position will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on a wide range of human resource functions with an emphasis on recruiting, hiring and training new or existing employees.Responsibilities:-Assists with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates and assisting with setting up and conducting interviews; to include posting job ads.-Conducts pre-employment screening processes such as background checks and reference checks. -Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations and assists in the new employee on-boarding process.-Assists department in carrying out various HR programs and procedures for all company employees.-Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department.-Participates in benefits administration to include but not limited to: conducting benefits enrollment for new employees/change requests and assisting in coordinating the open enrollment process.-Verifies I-9 documentation and assists in updating and in maintaining books to current. -Updates HR spreadsheets/HRIS with employee change requests and processes paperwork appropriately.-Assists in maintaining vital employee records to ensure a smooth operation of the HR department. -Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms. -Support as needed with any resignations and terminations.-Assists in maintaining records as appropriate for government reporting.-Performs clerical functions including but not limited to: making copies, faxing documents, filing paperwork into appropriate employee files, and assists or prepares correspondence/new employee files and special projects.-Assists in overseeing and supports the coordinating and implementation of HR/Company events to maintain morale.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:-Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and HRIS database required.-Demonstrated ability to organize multiple tasks while ensuring accurate and timely task completion. -Ability to communicate changes effectively and efficiently.-Required to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential information with discretion.-Proven ability to effectively communicate, in both written and verbal form, and excellent interpersonal skills with customers, managers, and co-workers while maintaining a positive and professional environment.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:-Associates degree in HR and a minimum of 1-2 years related experience in an HR related position preferred.
