      Spherion Staffing has a great opportunity for a Temp to Hire position as a Production Operator I. This individual performs a variety of functions in production process. They are responsible for functions of production such as Line Lead, Position 2, Mobile Test, Position 4 and Product Support. Performs various electronic Assembly and Soldering operations on components, subassemblies and circuit board assemblies.Schedule:Mon-Fri 6:30a-5p, overtime is a mustPay Rate:$14 / hr to start- salary increase to $15 hr when permanentScreenings:Drug Screen and Background are requiredResponsibilities:-Accomplishes various production assembly functions that are somewhat complicated in nature. Assembles products or sub-assemblies according to verbal and/or written instructions, or by diagrams.-Installs, solders and inspects through-hole components, wires in circuit boards per documentation and IPC workmanship standards.-Reads production routing paperwork, follows electronic drawings and/or receives verbal instructions regarding operations to be performed.-Inspects component parts prior to assembly and rejects defective parts against written, verbal or graphical instructions.-Inspects and evaluates the quality of products as they reach your position.-Reviews workmanship and reports defects in order to improve quality.-Will work both independently and in groups in problem solving. Will require interfacing with numerous internal personnel.-Additional tasks as required to fulfill team goals and requirements.-Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points to look for bottlenecks.-Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing the organization quality standards and ISO 9001/14001 procedures and Quality Management Systems.-Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the production orders.-Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.-Inspect equipment and hand tools to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.-Provide assistance to senior and junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.-Work under the guidance of a Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.-Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.-Recommend process improvements to enhance production efficiency and safety by using the Preventative and Corrective Action Request (CAR) system.-Committed to the effective implementation of the company Quality System, carrying out those applicable procedures outlined in the Quality System Manual.-Must be able to identify and discern various electrical and electronic components and markings which are often in small text, symbols or faint markings.Working hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:-Attention to detail-Ability to sit for 8 or more hours-Must be willing to submit to full background and drug screen-1-3 years of experience in soldering is required for considerationLanguage Skills- Ability to read and write in English.- Ability to fill out process travelers.- Ability to fill out CAR'sEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:-Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools or production equipment-Must be able to solder/learn to solder electrical and electronic components to circuit boards and/or wires and other components-Able to lift up to 50lbs-Must be able to pass a color vision test-Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time-Must be able to read/learn to read resistor codes-Must be able to read and understand schematics with limited assistance-Must be able to work with leaded and lead-free solders-Ability to utilize Windows programs such as Excel, Word,
