      Direct hire equipment mechanic for second shift for South Reno based manufacturing facility.The Equipment Mechanic I will be responsible for basic mechanic services. This includes assisting with cGMP-compliant practicesfor machine and equipment installation, maintenance and repairs. The Equipment Mechanic I will provide a positive approach tocreate a culture of high equipment mechanical standards.Responsibilities:Knowledge of, and conformance to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) asapplicable to the position, including:Reads, learns, follows and communicates Preventative Maintenance and Approved Chemicals Master ListSOPs, PPE requirements and safety program.Follows Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for entire facility, including:Maintains PM Master list and logs as directed.Provides basic mechanic services for machinery and equipment in all areas of the manufacturing plant, includingwarehouse, weighing, blending, tableting, encapsulation, coating, packaging, HVAC, forklifts and pallet jacks, andsanitation. Mechanic services include assisting Equipment Engineer II with:Installation, per documented qualification criteria.Preventative maintenance, per documented PM instructions.Troubleshooting and repairs.Welding, painting, metal/plastic fabrication.HVAC, electrical and plumbing services.Provide recommendations for solution of issues in any of the above areas.Provide Sr. Manager, Facilities Engineering with regular updates.Working hours: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AMSkills:Expert working knowledge of processing machinery.Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair malfunctions of machinery.Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally within the organization.Comprehend basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights and measures, and efficient use of acalculator.Requires accuracy, reliability and attention to detail.Team Oriented - being helpful, respectful, approachable, building strong working relationships and a positive workenvironment, reliable, honest, interacts with other tactfully, resolves conflicts appropriately and adapts to change.Ability to manage time efficiently, follow instructions, and be a hands-on problem solver.Computer skills:Computer proficiency and an understanding of their relationship to modern manufacturingBeginner knowledge of MS Office Suite and SAP (or another ERP system) preferredEducation:High SchoolExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
