        We are a highly-rated local law firm and we're looking for a professional and organized individual who excels at multitasking. In this position, you will assist the lawyers with maintaining, drafting, and organizing files, calling on witnesses, and maintaining a legal library. The ideal candidate is someone that is coachable, has a good attitude, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We offer 100% paid benefits, paid time off, and 401k matching.Pay: $35k-$40k + year end bonusSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (OT pay is available for after-hours and weekend work)Responsibilities:- Preparing affidavits, legal correspondence and other documents for attorneys- Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper of electronic filing system- Meeting with clients, attorneys and other professionals to review case details- Make filings with court clerk- Helping prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting as needed- Preparing briefs and other legal documentation- Investing facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action- Directing and coordinating law office activity- Gathering and analyzing statues, decisions, and legal articles, codes, documents and other data- Calling on witnesses to testify at hearings- Keeping law library up-to-dateWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:- Basic paralegal experience preferred but not required- Willingness to learn and be coached- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Proficient in Microsoft OfficeEducation:BachelorsExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- College degree preferred- Highly organized multitasker Apply today!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
