      A once in a lifetime opportunity now exists for a Director of Development for a local non-profit serving the communities of the Tri-Counties! This position is responsible for managing the chapter's development activities that communicate and advocate the organization's vision and mission. The Director will engage in a wide range of advancement programs to lead the chapter to new levels of fundraising and development success. We seek an experienced fundraising professional who can build a development plan to support growth and ensure long-term sustainability of the local chapter. This is a direct hire position with a full benefit package.Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual and long-term development strategy for the chapter; including specific plans for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors, foundations, and corporationsPartner with CEO to grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors.Maintain a portfolio of individual donors who are cultivated and stewarded year-round.Partner with staff, board and committees to meet and exceed revenue goals. Through solicitation of sponsorships for all internal events.Build third-party external fundraising opportunities.Manage local activation of national corporate partner campaigns.Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.Support the Board of Director's Development CommitteeWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Proven results leveraging available resources within tight timelines and limited budgets Proven results in securing sponsorships and gifts exceeding $50,000 Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Adobe, and SharePoint preferred) Experience in building new markets and revenue streams for fundingEducation:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in business development, non-profit, marketing, or related field Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience with progressive professional growth Demonstrated track-record of fundraising success outside of event managementProven ability to increase philanthropic partnerships over time For consideration, please apply to www.spherion.com and include your resume.
