        New opportunity with expanding business in Charleston/Summerville area. Building is approx. 575,000-625,000 sq feet and has approx. 90 doors. There are currently two shifts with approx. 150 employees. There is a mix of full-time and temporary (long term) employees and the facility is servicing multiple box box retailers. This is a new position and we are looking for someone that has experience in streamlining processes, creating operational effectiveness, and mentoring growing internal team members. To be successful in this operation you do not need to have big box retail experience but you need to have strong people, process, and time management skills. The jobs duties include:- Supervises daily activities of the warehouse, including shipping, quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, safety compliance, and customer service.- Achieves warehouse operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.- Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.- Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating, and recommending new equipment.- Optimizes current logistics and warehouse process by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout, implementing changes.- Analyzes current footprint and analyzes cost and time requirements to deliver to fulfillment sites.- Ensures order fulfillment teams have the necessary product when and where they need it to support schedule.- Oversees material handling and storage operations to ensure smooth flow of product into and out of the warehouse.- Implements metrics to measure logistics driven KPIs and regularly reviews and addresses findings to continually tune organizational operations.- Meets regularly with warehouse supervisors and leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans to maximize productivity and limit overtime through improvements in scheduling, work planning, and work processes.Responsibilities:see aboveWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:--Responsible for efficient and cost-effective inventory management, inventory accuracy, and security.--Forecasts requirements, analyzes variances, and initiates corrective actions in order to meet financial objectives of the warehouse.-Maintains physical condition of warehouse and equipment by developing, implementing, and ensuring the use of standard operating procedures and by planning and implementing new design layouts.--Maintains safe, healthy, and clean work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing safety programs, standards, and procedures, complying with OSHA, local, and state regulations.--Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures.Education:AssociateExperience:7-10 yearsQualifications:??? 7+ years??? logistics management experience, specifically implementing and managing 3PL???s.??? 5+ years??? demonstrated leadership ability.???
