Spherion is hiring a Sr Accounting & Controlling Manager for our client in Dayton, OH! The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial reporting, but also be a key partner to the production teams to help optimize costs.

Assisting with month-end and year-end closes, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring everything stays compliant with GAAP and IFRS.
Managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules?which is a big deal here given our investment in high-tech CNC machinery.
Collaborating with Operations and Engineering on cost-optimization initiatives and providing financial modeling to help them make big decisions.
Monitoring cash flow, forecasting future needs, and supporting banking transactions.
Supporting the budget process through variance analysis and providing 'ad-hoc' financial reports for leadership.
Helping out with ERP enhancements (we use Epicor) and making sure our data integrity is bulletproof.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting.
5 to 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a heavy preference for those who have worked in production or manufacturing.
Strong command of IFRS and GAAP.
You need to be highly proficient in Excel. If you have experience with Epicor, that is a massive plus.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex financial topics to alternate department team members
