Responsibilities:
Procurement Management: Issue, track, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, sub-assemblies, and specialized components required for production.
Supplier Relations & Negotiations: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, contract terms, lead times, and payment terms to drive cost-reduction initiatives.
Inventory & MRP Control: Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) software to balance inventory levels, mitigate stockouts, and manage safety stock parameters.
Supplier Performance Monitoring: Evaluate vendor reliability, quality, and on-time delivery metrics; implement corrective actions when vendor standards are not met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, and Logistics teams to resolve component shortages or schedule revisions proactively.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the purchasing workflow and recommend continuous improvement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline (or equivalent combined experience/education).
Experience: 4+ years of direct purchasing, procurement, or buying experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience operating within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, AS400, or similar) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis).
Negotiation & Strategy: Strong track record of successful supplier negotiations, cost-savings management, and vendor risk mitigation.
Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset capable of reviewing demand forecasts, identifying lead-time risks, and resolving delivery delays rapidly.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with internal leadership and global suppliers.

Professional certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CPM).
Previous purchasing experience in electronics, consumer goods, or electro-mechanical assembly.
