Are you a supply chain strategist who thrives on solving complex operational puzzles? We are seeking an action-oriented Senior Buyer to take the reins of critical procurement and inventory planning for our manufacturing facility in Eufaula, AL. You won't just be pushing paper-you will serve as the operational backbone of our supply chain. In this high-visibility role, you'll negotiate high-impact vendor contracts, optimize inventory flow, and build resilient supplier partnerships to keep our production lines running smoothly without missing a beat.

Responsibilities:
Drive Procurement Execution: Issue, track, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, sub-assemblies, and specialized manufacturing components.

Master Vendor Negotiations: Build strong supplier partnerships while aggressively negotiating contract terms, pricing, lead times, and payment structures to meet cost-reduction goals.

Optimize MRP & Inventory: Maximize ERP/MRP systems to maintain ideal safety stock levels, balance inventory, and eliminate costly stockouts.

Monitor Supplier Performance: Track vendor reliability, quality standards, and on-time delivery metrics; implement swift corrective actions when expectations fall short.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner daily with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, and Logistics teams to proactively solve component shortages and schedule changes.

Lead Continuous Improvement: Audit purchasing workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize operational waste, and enhance overall purchasing efficiency.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Professional certification (APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CPM).

Direct purchasing experience in electronics, consumer goods, or electro-mechanical assembly.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor???s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or equivalent combined experience.

Experience: 4+ years of direct purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Technical Savvy: Advanced hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, AS400) and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis).

Negotiation Power: Proven track record of successful contract negotiation, strategic cost-savings management, and supplier risk mitigation.

Agile Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical mindset capable of evaluating demand forecasts, spotting lead-time risks, and resolving delivery delays rapidly.

Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to interface seamlessly with internal leadership and international suppliers.
