We're looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter to join our growing Wooster, Ohio branch and play a key role in delivering exceptional hiring experiences for both our clients and candidates.

This is a hands-on, fully in-person position where you'll manage the full recruiting lifecycle, partner with local employers, and become a trusted hiring resource throughout Wayne County. Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $55,000-$60,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- No evenings
- No weekends
- No commission-based pressure

What You'll Do

As a Senior Recruiter, you'll manage the full-cycle recruiting process while serving as a trusted hiring partner for both candidates and clients.

Responsibilities include:

Manage multiple recruiting priorities across manufacturing, industrial, clerical, and professional positions
Source, interview, evaluate, and match qualified candidates to client opportunities
Build proactive talent pipelines using JobDiva, Indeed Smart Sourcing, referrals, networking, and other sourcing strategies
Partner with clients to understand hiring needs and workforce challenges
Guide candidates through onboarding and orientation while creating an exceptional hiring experience
Maintain regular communication with employees throughout their assignments to improve engagement and retention
Represent Spherion at hiring events, community networking opportunities, and workforce development initiatives
Collaborate with teammates to continuously improve recruiting strategies and client services
Utilize recruiting technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining a personal, relationship-first approach

This role is approximately 70% recruiting and candidate engagement and 30% client relationship management and employee support.

Qualifications

We're seeking an experienced recruiting professional who brings both recruiting expertise and a passion for helping others succeed.

Preferred qualifications include:

Three or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, HR, or workforce development experience
Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong interviewing, sourcing, and candidate evaluation skills
Proven ability to build relationships with candidates, clients, and internal teams
Experience utilizing ATS and/or HRIS platforms (JobDiva or similar), CRM systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting technology
Comfortable leveraging AI and automation tools to improve recruiting efficiency
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
A collaborative, team-first mindset with a genuine passion for helping people

You'll join our growing Wooster branch under the leadership of the Wooster Branch Manager, with additional support and mentorship from experienced regional leaders who have spent decades building successful careers with Spherion Mid Ohio.
