The Set-Up Technician is responsible for the preparation, installation, and calibration of manufacturing machinery and tooling. This role insures that equipment is configured according to specific technical blueprints and quality standards. The Set-Up Tech performs the "heavy lifting" of the production cycle: swapping out dies, adjusting sensors, and fine-tuning parameters to minimize downtime and maximize precision. The Set-Up Tech also prepares each assembly line, and cell for the shifts production schedule, and goals.

Schedule: 6:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Thursday with some OT.
Responsibilities:
Adjust tooling fixtures for mills, and lathes
??? Operate grinders, and other machines as needed
??? Conduct quality checks
??? Install and remove parts, and tools in a safe and efficient manner
??? Mill changeovers will consist of proper alignment of mills, check water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical connections daily
??? Troubleshoot any issues with milling machine equipment
??? Perform changeover on machines as needed
??? Maintain organization mills, grinders and milling machine components
??? Perform daily routines to provide a clean and safe work environment
Working hours: 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
Experience with ERP systems preferred
Machining experience preferred but not required
Milling experience preferred
Forklift experience preferred and/or ability to become forklift certified
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Must able to read vernier, digital, and dial calipers
Must be proficient in metric system
Basic understanding of machining required
2-3 years of similar experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to read, write and understand English
Skilled use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (micrometers/calipers).
