Responsibilities:
Perform setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance on production equipment including GN, SembCorp, and Lyle equipment.

Analyze and troubleshoot low and high voltage electrical circuits, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) systems.

Assemble and test electro-mechanical devices (timers, relays, solenoids, etc.) to ensure proper functionality and operational reliability.

Record test results, document fabrication techniques, and report on equipment adjustments.

Utilize hand tools, electrical meters, power tools, and machines (such as drill press, table saw, welder) to fabricate and maintain machinery components.

Assist in training less experienced setup technicians and mechanics on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.

Work with production automation equipment, including robots, palletizers, case erectors, and high-speed jet printers.

Adhere to EHS policies, report unsafe conditions, and ensure safe work practices are followed, including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.

Ensure a clean and organized work area, following proper housekeeping and product safety standards.

Identify areas for improvement in maintenance and setup procedures, and contribute to operational efficiency enhancements.

Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and timely equipment setups and production processes.

Perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using equipment in a safe manner.

Working hours: 4:55 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Technical Education - Completion of technical school or relevant training in electro-mechanical systems or manufacturing equipment.

Advanced Troubleshooting Skills - Experience with troubleshooting complex electrical circuits, PLCs, and automation systems.

Experience with Manufacturing Equipment - Knowledge of production machinery, including thermoform machines, robots, palletizers, case erectors, and high-speed jet printers.

Experience with Multimeters and Power Tools - Proficiency in using multimeters, electrical meters, and power tools for machine maintenance and repairs.

Data Analysis - Ability to analyze and interpret data, use SPC (Statistical Process Control) for production monitoring, and graph charts.

Blueprint and Schematic Reading - Strong understanding of blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to assemble, repair, and maintain equipment.

Computer Skills - Familiarity with computer systems and software (e.g., MS Office Suite, data acquisition systems).

Forklift Operation - Experience with forklift operation for moving equipment or materials within the facility.

Mechanical Skills - Hands-on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance experience in a production environment.

Project Management - Ability to prioritize tasks, manage maintenance schedules, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Bilingual - Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Safety Focus - Knowledge and adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures and OSHA regulations.

Teamwork and Leadership - Experience in mentoring or leading teams of setup technicians and mechanics, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective teamwork.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED - Required educational background or equivalent experience.

Technical Experience - At least three years of related experience in maintenance or technician roles, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.

Troubleshooting Skills - Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems using meters and schematics.

Use of Multimeters and Hand Tools - Experience using electrical meters, power tools, drill presses, table saws, and other hand tools to maintain equipment.

Understanding of Blueprints and Schematics - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and other specifications.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Equipment - Familiarity with various manufacturing and production equipment, such as thermoform machines, PLC systems, and servo motors.

Ability to Follow SOPs - Strong understanding and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety instructions.

Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze and interpret test results and take corrective action when necessary.

Physical Stamina - Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, and work in various weather conditions; must also have good vision and be able to operate machinery safely.

Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues and reporting results.

Problem-Solving - Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Computer Literacy - Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry.

Knowledge of Safety Protocols - Adherence to safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.

Detail-Oriented - High attention to detail in analyzing test results, making repairs, and documenting activities.

Forklift Experience - Experience operating a forklift for moving equipment or materials is a plus.
