The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound and outbound logistics execution at a beverage manufacturing facility. This role owns dock operations, trailer flow, yard organization, and shipping accuracy, ensuring materials and finished goods move safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and customer requirements. Leads dock and yard personnel and serves as the primary on-site owner of shipping and receiving execution, while coordinating closely with Warehouse, Production, Quality, and corporate Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Leadership
- Inbound Receiving: Supervise the unloading, accurate count, damage inspection, and documentation of all inbound packaging and non-ingredient materials. Coordinate timely handoff to the Warehouse team and escalate any discrepancies.
- Outbound Shipping: Oversee picking, staging, and loading of finished goods, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time departure of all outbound shipments, including verification and documentation.
- Yard & Dock Management: Manage yard organization, trailer placement, and dock assignments. Supervise yard dog operations for safe trailer movement, coordinate scheduling, and serve as the primary contact for carriers and drivers.
- People Leadership & Safety: Lead and develop shipping, receiving, and yard personnel. Enforce safety policies related to dock, forklift, and yard equipment operations, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring proper training and certification.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate, timely completion of all shipping and receiving documentation. Support compliance with food safety, GMP, and security requirements, assisting with audits, inspections, and maintaining organized logistics records.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement: Partner with the Warehouse Supervisor, Plant Manager, Quality, and Supply Chain/Logistics teams for smooth daily operations and issue resolution. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for dock efficiency, trailer flow, and shipping accuracy.
- Shift & Scheduling Expectations
- Requires flexibility to support production and shipping operations.
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed based on production demands and facility growth.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant coursework preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics supervision within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Prior experience managing dock operations, yard operations, and carrier interactions.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Experience supervising hourly teams strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, load verification, and logistics processes.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety requirements, and warehouse safety practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup or restart environment.
